The SEN Room
Last night I had a dream where I was back in school, walking around. I headed for the SEN room – the department for kids with ‘special education needs’, which I was under in real life. I had to go there to do a test. When I arrived, the room was similar to how it had been in real life and my old friend Josh was there, as well as two of the SEN staff, Miss Bridge and Mrs Millross. Miss Bridge was showing everyone a new calendar she’d bought with photos of plants and inspirational words on it. She read one out, which was ‘Anteater, aardvark and a hat’. The first of these two comes from a running joke with my friend Gush in real life.
I went to say something about the calendar – probably that it was rubbish – but Mrs Millross pointed out that I had to use ‘the cake’ if I wanted to talk. There was a plastic cake – made from the same material as squeaky rubber dog toys – with segments of it connected via velcro. Josh demonstrated how it worked by taking a slice and telling everyone he liked mushrooms.
Looking through my notes, there is a bit here that just says ‘Jack tape on metal’… I have no idea what that pertains to, so I’ll skip it.
It then cut to a scene with superheroes. Superman was in his lab testing something, when Doctor Octopus came in and attacked him. Doctor Octopus was much better realised in my dream than he was in the 2004 film, with the metal tentacles being much more agile and a more slick design. The superhero crossovers continued when Robin (of Batman & Robin fame) met up with the Flash, who was trying to find and disable a Hyper Power Reactor.
