A piece of fish

My boss Dave was giving a talk at an event for college kids. He was organising food for an event where people were coming to watch a big football match. He said the plan was to do fish and chips, because it was “a piece of fish” to do (that was meant to be a joke and people groaned at it) and cheap too.

Someone questioned “What if they don’t like fish”? So he said they could do jacket potatoes, since they already had potatoes. One girl didn’t like this idea though, and suggested pizza instead. She got really excited and Dave said she was missing the point of keeping costs down and doing things that were cheap and easy to do. She insisted though.

While he was talking, I was typing up a spreadsheet with all the groups of people that had booked for each event they were holding, including the sponsors for each.
