Jennavere
Had a dream last night that took place on a bus. It was a big bus though, more like a train, with tables lots of room. I was sitting with Mike and Goodwin, but a few other people came and went, including our old school friend Matthew, who made a few jokes that I don’t remember. At one point we were joined by Ant and Dec. I went over to a table with a typewriter to write some jokes, but the only paper I had was a piece of A4 with a photo of Dec on it, so I just carried on typing over that.
A little while later, a girl got on the train called. I didn’t know her name at the time, but she later told us it was Jennavere. I thought that was a nice, unusual name. She was a very pretty girl, with nice brown hair and a white top that made her look very elegant. She spoke like she was from London.
She saw the typewriter and asked if any of us wrote. I told her I did and to prove it I went over to write a story. I had no ideas, but I quickly made something up about a girl called Paxie (instead of Pixie) and a man called Partick (instead of Patrick). I don’t remember much of the story, but it included a reference to a long, black, metal ruler, which Jennavere thought was going to be used for something rude, but I changed it so that it was used for hitting bugs on the carpet. There was also one point where they called a plumber, but I didn’t want to use the word plumber so I kept asking everyone for a different word for plumber. I didn’t get time to print the story off in the end, as the bus reached her stop and she had to get off.
I walked her to the door and as the bus stopped, she fell back into me. She apologised, but I said it was okay. Then she got off. I was quite sad that she’d left, cos she was a really nice girl. However, the bus continued and I waited at the front for a bit. Whilst I was there, a man made a Batman reference (I forget what exactly) and a couple of other guys joined in making Batman references. Another man tried to join in, but he started singing the Thunderbirds theme and someone pointed out that it wasn’t related to Batman.
I went and sat down with Mike and Goodwin again and we all sat and stared at nothing. We were all thinking about Jennavere. Goodwin pointed out that she said she liked men with a good head of hair, so I brushed my hand through my hair and said “Yeah, she did, didn’t she.” because I had thicker hair than either of them. We all laughed and then carried on our journey talking about other things.
