Had a dream last night in which my nephew, Max, and my Brazilian friend, Nadine, were both at my house. Nadine was a lot younger than she is in real life though. They’d each gotten me a present for my birthday and were arguing over who’d gotten the best present.

I wanted to keep the peace, so I said to Max “I always love your presents because you get me fun stuff that I can play with. And also, I’ve got a present for you later.” (I have indeed got a present for Max that I’m giving him later today). I then turned to Nadine and said “And I always love your presents because they’re creative and home-made, which you know I like.”

We then all had a lie down on the sofa while we waited for my mother to finish cooking dinner.
