The Boy Don’t Dance

I came up with this song while I was playing my pocket ukulele in Bulgaria.

The song is somewhat autobiographical. I’ve never been one for dancing and I usually do end up sat in the corner on my own. I don’t mind though.

The only time I’ve really danced was at a Molotov Jukebox gig. I had no idea what I was doing, but it was such a party atmosphere and everyone else was dancing, so I just started jumping and flinging my arms about.

For the video, I wanted to do something different, as I hate playing to the camera. It’s always awkward and I prefer to do something more creative. I saw a music video by Lindsay Ell which was a timelapse of her painting a guitar. I thought this was such a nice idea and decided to do something similar. I went for painting a vinyl record, as it fit with the song and looked pretty cool in the end.
