The death gamble

Ed Gamble was in a new show (or might have been real life)
He’d recently lost someone he’d loved
And also lost his dog
His mom had bought him a new dog
“I know you don’t like dead dogs, so I got you a living one”
Last shot was of him on a rocky edge
He smiled a contented smile and nodded
Then he fell backwards in slow motion as some music from Doctor Who played
He fell into a pool and then there was a wide shot of him swimming
I said to mother I wasn’t sure if he was happy and wanted to live or happy and ready to die

I was at a concert
The last act was a female comedian and her band
There was a little boy in the toilet struggling and getting upset
Mother went in to help him
Lou didn’t see that and asked if anyone was going to go in and help
When nobody replied, she went in
They all came out and the comedian did this poking technique on the kid’s back
He was alright in the end
Later I walked home with the comedian
I couldn’t remember her name and tried to guess it
I was certain her first name was ‘Natalia’ but couldn’t remember her surname

I woke up trying to remember her surname and after about 10 minutes I suddenly remembered her name was Lou Sanders
