The pink sky van

The dream started with me walking through town. I saw Matthew Neiland, someone I knew from school, and he was wearing a pink sparkly suit. I commented “Nice suit!” and quickly added “I’m not being funny, I genuinely think it’s a cool suit.”

He told me he was going to an event for breast cancer and they had to wear pink. I walked a bit with him towards where he was going.

Later, I was in town with mom and we were going back to a hotel. It was a journey I remembered doing before, not in real life, but perhaps in another dream, as I remembered a shortcut. I asked if she wanted to walk or get a taxi and she said walk.

There was also a bit where I was in a comic book shop with my nephew Max. I was looking at comic books while he looked at toys. I saw a Spider-Man comic that I picked up. Max asked me to look at something, so I put it back went over to have a look. But when I went back to the comic, it had changed to something else. I realised someone else had bought it and put another comic in its place.

Later, I was sitting in the back of a van with seats in the back. A girl was driving, around my age, with dark hair. I think we were going out by this point. She was asking me questions like a quizmaster while she drove.

She first asked “Why is my nickname for you ‘Baby’?” I asked if that was genuinely her nickname for me that she used with her friends and she said it was. I tried to think of a funny answer but just said “Because I’m cute I guess?” And she said that was right.

I leaned forward and looked out of the window and the sky had turned pink. Like a sunset or golden hour, but it was pink. I took a few photos of it. She said in light of the sky being pink, she wanted me to do something to do with the colour blue. I can’t remember what it was.

Then she asked me to write a four line poem beginning with the word ‘Justice’. This is what I came up with:

Justice was served

When the judge asked me

Do you love this woman

I said yes, I’m guilty

That’s all I remember from the dream, but she was a really nice girl and it was a sweet conversation.
